Travel to Hundertwasser House in Vienna / Wycieczka do Wiednia

Ahoy!

During the summer, our Little Mole together with his friends went out to conquer the Austrian capital. The main point of the trip was visiting Hundertwasser House, which is a residential complex located at the corner of the streets Kegelgasse and Löwengasse. It is one of the most colorful places in the capital of Austria. Bartek really liked this place, so we decided to introduce you to this an unusual place.

W wakacje Krecik ze swoimi koleżankami udał się na podbój stolicy Austrii. Głównym punktem wycieczki był Dom Hundertwassera, czyli kompleks mieszkalny znajdujący się na rogu Kegelgasse i Löwengass. Jest jedno z najbardziej kolorowych miejsc w stolicy Austrii.Krecikowi bardzo przypadł do gustu, dlatego postanowiliśmy przedstawić Wam do niezwykłe miejsce.

The Hundertwasserhaus was designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser and built between 1983-1985 by the architect Josef Krawina. An interesting fact is that the architect took no payment for the design of the house, the only condition was, that nothing "ugly" can be built next to his work.

Dom Hundertwassera został zaprojektowany przez Friedensreicha Hundertwassera i wybudowany w latach 1983–1985 przez architekta Josefa Krawinę. Ciekawym faktem jest, iż architekt nie zażądał pieniężnej zapłaty za swój projekt, jedynym warunkiem było to, żeby nic "co brzydkie" nie zostało zbudowane przy jego dziele.

Nature as a human partner was the concept of a creator to design the house. You can meet flora almost everywhere: on terraces, balconies, and many other places. In addition, you can see the different style from the basic building. You can not see there any simple or regular lines. It's simply original and colorful.

Przyroda jako partner człowieka była koncepcją twórcy do zaprojektowania domu. Roślinność można tam spotkać prawie wszędzie: na tarasach, balkonach i w wielu innych miejscach. Ponadto wymyślono wiele rozwiązań, które odbiegały od prostych i regularnych lini. Jest po prostu oryginalnie i kolorowo.


This tourist attraction of Vienna can be only admired from the outside. Inside of the building are private residences which were completed on 1st of March in 1986. Within the house, there are 50 apartments, (ranging from 30 to 150 square meters), four restaurants, one medical practice and 16 private, and 3 public terraces. The total space constructed building is 3550 square meters. The cost of construction is estimated at around 6 million euros.

Tą turystyczną atrakcje Wiednia, niestety można podziwiać jedynie z zewnątrz, gdyż w środku znajdują się mieszkania. Budynek został oddany  do użytku 1 marca 1986 budynek i  mieści w sobie 50 mieszkań (o powierzchni od 30 do 150 m²), cztery restauracje, jedną praktykę lekarską oraz 16 prywatnych i 3 publiczne tarasy. Całkowita powierzchnia użytkowa wybudowanego budynku wynosi 3550 m². Koszt wybudowania ocenia się na około 6 milionów euro.


Near to the Hundertwasser House is another colorful place - the Hundertwasser Village. We went immediately there after seeing a flyer of this village in the Hundertwasser House place. After a short walk, we were already in place. As you can easily notice the village was designed and built according to the concept of Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Both within and outside we can  see the influences of the artist. Colourful Village was created in 1990-1991. Previously, the building was used as a factory of car tires. Big numerous of visitors in the nearby Hundertwasser House has become the main cause of the rising the building. In the village, there are numerous of shops and a café where we could have a nice time for a delicious Austrian coffee.

Niedaleko Domu Hundertwassera znajduję się Wioska Hundertwassera. Udaliśmy się do niej zaraz po zobaczeniu ulotki z tą wioską przy Kolorowym Budynku. Po krótkim spacerze byliśmy już na miejscu. Jak można było łatwo zauważyć wioska została zaprojektowana i zbudowana według koncepcji Friedensreicha Hundertwassera. Zarówno wewnątrz jak i na zewnątrz można zaobserwować inspiracje artystą. Kolorowa Wioska została stworzona w latach 1990-1991. Wcześniej budynek był wykorzystywany jako fabryka opon samochodowych. Duża liczna osób odwiedzających pobliski Dom Hundertwassera stała się główną przyczyną do powstania budowli, która miała u celu zwabić większą ilość zwiedzających. W wiosce znajdują się liczne sklepiki i kawiarnia w której mogliśmy spędzić miło czas na piciu pysznej austriackiej kawy.


It is a pity that the time for pleasures goes so fast / Szkoda, że czas na przyjemnościach tak szybko mija :(
